Blue for Bob 2026
Our final ever Blue for Bob Day at Edgbaston was an incredibly special occasion and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make it such a brilliant day.
Thanks to your generosity, we have so far raised £207,361, with more donations and fundraising still coming in. We are absolutely blown away by this total and by the support shown for The Bob Willis Fund and our mission to help improve the early diagnosis of prostate cancer.
The day was filled with so many memorable moments.
A huge thank you to Edgbaston, Sky Sports, the ECB and BBC Test Match Special for helping us make such an impact and for giving us the opportunity to raise awareness of prostate cancer with cricket fans across the country.
Colin McFarlane‘s powerful interview on Sky Sports urged men to take action and get themselves checked. These conversations are so important in encouraging men to think about their health and to seek help when they need it.
On BBC Test Match Special, Lauren and Ian Botham shared some wonderful memories of Bob, reminiscing about his character and his cricketing career. It was a very special way to remember Bob and celebrate the lasting impact he had on so many people.
The Bob Willis Bowling Zone was once again a huge hit. Thank you to everyone who came along to have a go at bowling like Bob, helping us to raise both funds and awareness throughout the day. We had so many great conversations with fans who shared their own memories and stories of Bob, which meant an enormous amount to us.
A very special thank you to Eoin Morgan, who came down to the Bowling Zone and bowled for us on Sky Sports. It was fantastic to see him getting involved and helping us shine an even bigger spotlight on the campaign.
And, of course, we can’t forget David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd, who was doing what Bumble does best and encouraging the fans to “get yer phones out” and support the campaign! The Bowling Zone proved once again to be such a popular way to bring people together, have some fun and, most importantly, start conversations about prostate cancer.
We were also incredibly proud of our large on-pitch banner moment, with people affected by prostate cancer coming together on the field during the player line-up. It was a fitting tribute to Bob and a reminder of why we have spent the last six years campaigning for earlier and better diagnosis.
A huge thank you to every single volunteer who gave their time and energy to make the day happen. We simply couldn’t have done it without you.
And to everyone who donated, purchased a Virtual Seat, bowled in the Bowling Zone, shared our posts, told a friend, or simply took the time to talk to us about prostate cancer, thank you!
The cricket community has turned out for us once again, just as it has throughout our Blue for Bob campaign, and we are incredibly grateful. Your support has helped us reach more people with potentially life-saving messages about prostate cancer, while raising vital funds to support our work.
As we come to the end of our final Blue for Bob campaign, we want to say a huge thank you to all our supporters, partners, volunteers and the wider cricket family for your incredible and continued support. You have helped us honour Bob’s memory in the best possible way, by using the game he loved to make a difference to the lives of others.
