Stoke D’Abernon CC vs The Bob Willis Fund XI

We’re really looking forward to bringing The Bob Willis Fund XI to Stoke D’Abernon Cricket Club on Sunday 31st May with play getting underway at 2pm. It promises to be a special afternoon, raising awareness and vital funds for prostate cancer research.
For us, this fixture holds real meaning. Stoke D’Abernon is where Bob’s cricketing journey began and to return to the club where it all started makes this a particularly special occasion as we come together to celebrate Bob’s life and legacy.
Order of the day:
14:00 – 16:00: BWF XI vs Stoke D’Abernon XI (T20)
16:00 – 16:15: Presentation and Raffle
The match will follow our Bob Willis Family Cup format, which is all about inclusion and playing the game in the right spirit. Each side will include:
- At least one player aged 50+
- Two parents playing alongside their children (of either sex)
- At least one female player
Alongside the cricket, there’ll be a bar open throughout the afternoon and a raffle to take part in.
We’d love you to come and be part of it. It’s set to be a relaxed, welcoming day, bringing people together through cricket for a cause that matters so much to us all.
